Well, the "two" mentioned in the article turned into 'six'. I picked two last week and one more today (10/13), leaving three still under the tree. Yep, it is a line tree, an Oak appearing at the corner of three properties. A thick layer of fresh Oak leaves coveried four of the Hens giving ample protection from the frosts, but with a three day hard freeze in the forecast, this might be the end of those left behind.

Leslie has turned the greater parts of the largest one (@ 10 pounds) into a mushroom soup. I can smell it simmering away in the kitchen, the bouquet infusing the whole of our large house, and catching me even in my office at the furthest point from the kitchen in the house. And I can tell from the fragrance that she has added several other mushrooms into the mix. As she pointed out to me our fridg, freezer, and pantry were overflowing with mushrooms both fresh and dried.
